LPG Customers Must Complete e‑KYC by August 16, 2026
LPG customers in India have two weeks left to finish a quick online check called e‑KYC that uses their Aadhaar ID.
If they don’t finish it by August 16, 2026, they might lose the cheap price and the government help for buying gas cylinders.
Oil companies are sending text messages and telling people how to do the check on their phone, at the gas shop, or when a delivery person brings the cylinder.
They also warn about fake phone calls that try to trick people into giving away personal information.
The government has also changed the subsidy so people get only four cylinders a year instead of nine, and some companies are now delivering gas through apps like Swiggy Instamart or a new fast‑delivery service called Bharat Lite Zip.
LPG customers have until August 16, 2026 to complete Aadhaar e‑KYC.
Failure to complete may result in loss of domestic price and subsidy.
Oil companies are sending SMS reminders via the IndianOil ONE App, distributors, and delivery personnel.
Consumers are warned about fake calls and cyber‑fraud attempts.
New subsidy rules give only four cylinders per year and introduce new delivery options.
