Suryalanka Beach Reopens with Enhanced Security After Cyclone Motha
A beach called Suryalanka was closed for a little while because a storm made parts of it unsafe with holes and uneven sand.
The police chief visited the beach to make sure it was safe before letting people back.
Now, there are more safety measures, like cameras, boats with swimmers, and red flags to warn people about dangerous spots.
Visitors are told not to go too far into the water, especially after drinking, and to only swim where it's safe.
This is to keep everyone safe, especially during a busy time for visitors called Karthika month.
Suryalanka Beach has reopened after being temporarily closed due to Cyclone Motha's impact.
Coastal erosion caused by the cyclone created dangerous pits and unstable areas on the beach.
Enhanced security measures include 40 CCTV cameras, 10 patrol boats with swimmers, drones, and watchtowers.
Red flags mark danger zones, and visitors are warned against crossing them or entering the sea after consuming alcohol.
Devotees are advised to take dips only at designated points and follow police instructions for a safe visit.
