Andhra Pradesh Opens Six Urban Forests to Boost Eco-Tourism

Andhra Pradesh has opened six new urban forests.

They are part of a government program called the Nagar Van Yojana.

The new forests bring the state’s total to 25.

They cover 305 hectares and cost Rs 13 crore to develop.

People will be able to walk, cycle, play, and exercise there.

Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan said the forests can help people enjoy nature.

He also said tourism can create jobs for tribal youth.

The projects include plans to promote visits to coastal, spiritual, and forest destinations.
