Sikkim Pilgrims Safe, Others Remain Missing After Nepal Floods

Eight people from Sikkim who were traveling to Kailash Mansarovar have been found safe.

They were staying at Saga County on the Tibet side.

They crossed into China from Nepal before flash floods hit the area.

The floods stranded travelers and damaged communication links.

Samar Mondal from Siliguri is still unreachable after becoming sick at high altitude.

A minister met his family and said he would help find him.

A Darjeeling resident also cannot contact three relatives near the Trishuli River.

Other Nepali workers in Darjeeling are worried about their families, although one person hopes his home is far enough from the river.
