Skyroot Plans Next-Gen Rocket Vikram-II
Skyroot, an Indian space company, is working on a new rocket called Vikram-II.
This rocket is planned to launch in 2027 and can carry bigger satellites than the previous one, Vikram-I.
Vikram-II can carry up to 900 kg to a place called Low Earth Orbit and 600 kg to another place called Sun Synchronous Orbit.
This is more than double what Vikram-I could carry.
The new rocket will also have a special engine that makes it more efficient.
This means it can support bigger and more important missions for businesses, scientists, and the government.
Skyroot is developing Vikram-II, its next-generation launch vehicle, scheduled for 2027.
Vikram-II can carry up to 900 kg to Low Earth Orbit and 600 kg to Sun Synchronous Orbit.
This is more than double the payload capacity of Vikram-I, enabling larger satellite missions.
A key upgrade for Vikram-II is its cryogenic engine, which promises higher efficiency.
The new rocket will support more demanding commercial, scientific, and government missions.
