Mumbai Woman Reunited with Family After 12 Years
A woman named Godavari Raut got lost in Mumbai 12 years ago.
She was found by the police and taken to an NGO.
After some time, she remembered her village name, and the police found her family.
A man named Akshay Ridlan made a special pendant with a QR code that helps find missing people.
This pendant has information about the person, so if they get lost, anyone can scan the code and help them return home.
Godavari's story shows how important it is to have such technology to bring families back together.
Godavari Raut, a woman in her 70s, was reunited with her family after 12 years of being missing in Mumbai.
She was found by the Mumbai Police during a routine patrol at JJ Junction in Byculla.
After several counselling sessions, Godavari recalled her village name, leading to her family's identification.
Project Chetna, developed by Akshay Ridlan, uses QR code-enabled pendants to store critical information about the wearer.
The pendants have helped reunite missing children and adults, including those with dementia, Alzheimer’s, or autism, with their families.
