Madhya Pradesh Sets NEET UG Mop-Up Schedule Without Vacancy List
Madhya Pradesh has announced another counselling round for NEET UG applicants.
This round is called the mop-up round.
Applicants can register from September 28 to October 2.
A revised merit list will be published on October 3.
They can choose and lock colleges from October 4 to October 7.
Seats are expected to be allotted on October 10.
Applicants who receive seats must report in person between October 11 and October 14.
FAIMA said publishing the schedule before the vacancy list could make it harder for applicants to choose wisely.

Timing of the vacancy list
Directorate Schedule
The Directorate of Medical Education issued the mop-up counselling schedule, including registration, choice filling, allotment and reporting dates, without releasing a vacancy list first.
FAIMA Criticism
FAIMA national spokesman Dr Akash Soni said applicants should have an accurate, comprehensive and verified vacancy list before counselling or choice filling begins.
Effect on applicants

The announced process requires registered applicants to fill and lock college preferences during the specified window; failure to lock choices may result in non-allotment.
FAIMA Criticism
FAIMA said the absence of a verified seat matrix could lead applicants to select colleges with no actual openings and miss realistic options, creating what it called a “blind lottery” scenario.
