India's Two-Wheeler Market Suffers Sales Slump
In India, fewer people are buying motorcycles and scooters, which is causing sales to go down.
Overall, the auto market is slow.
Motorcycle sales, especially the smaller, cheaper ones, have dropped a lot.
Scooters are also selling less.
Experts worry that the industry won't grow as much as they thought.
Cars are not doing well either, especially regular cars, but SUVs are doing okay.
India's two-wheeler sales declined 9.8% YoY in April-May 2025.
Motorcycle sales fell 12% YoY, including a 20.6% drop for 100cc bikes.
Scooter sales decreased by 5.7% during the same period.
Passenger vehicle sales increased by 1.5% YoY, but car sales declined.
Industry growth forecasts for two-wheelers face a downside risk.
