ArcelorMittal Q2 2026 Net Income Falls 62% to $683 Million
ArcelorMittal is a big steel company that made less money in the second quarter of 2026 than it did a year earlier.
Its profit fell 62 percent to $683 million.
But compared to the first quarter of the same year, profit went up 19 percent because sales were higher.
The company sold more steel and its production was almost the same as last year.
In India, a joint venture called AMNS India did well, earning $257 million in profit, which helped ArcelorMittal’s overall earnings.
The CEO said the company is becoming more profitable over time thanks to new trade rules and a carbon pricing system.
Net income fell 62% YoY to $683 million in Q2 2026.
Quarter‑on‑quarter net income rose 19% to $575 million.
Sales climbed 8.4% to $16.8 billion, driven by higher steel prices and shipments.
Crude steel production was 14.3 million tonnes, slightly lower YoY but up Q/Q.
Indian joint venture AMNS India posted $257 million EBITDA, boosting associate income.
