NSE Uses AI Surveillance as IPO Plans Advance

The National Stock Exchange of India uses artificial intelligence to watch trading activity.

The technology looks for unusual behaviour that could suggest market manipulation or insider trading.

The exchange has been using its own algorithms for about two or three years.

It does not say publicly how many cases the systems have found or stopped.

NSE is also preparing to sell shares to the public through an IPO in September 2026.

The exchange says this IPO is meant to help investors discover its value, not to take advantage of a particular market moment.

More Indians are investing, with the registered investor base rising sharply since 2020.

NSE says it will need stronger technology and cybersecurity systems to support this growth.

It also says foreign investors may return to India when global investment conditions change.
