Google Home App Adds Scheduling to Older Nest Thermostats
Google is updating the Google Home app to let people control older Nest thermostats more easily.
Before, only the newer Nest models could be scheduled through the Home app, and older models required a separate app.
Now, users of the 3rd-generation Nest Learning Thermostat and the Nest Thermostat E in the US and UK can schedule their thermostats directly in the Home app.
Any schedules already set up in the older Nest app will automatically move over.
The update also lets users schedule their fans and sensors and includes a redesigned look in the Home app with a better energy use overview.
