Gujarat Board Adds Bhagavad Gita to Classes 9-12 Curriculum
Imagine the Gujarat schools are adding some stories from the Bhagavad Gita, a special Indian book, into their language classes (like Gujarati, Hindi, English, and Urdu) for older kids.
This is part of a bigger plan to teach kids about good values like being honest and patriotic.
These chapters will now be part of their tests.
Plus, they're also adding a chapter about natural farming to help students learn about eco-friendly farming and introducing new computer topics like artificial intelligence.
Gujarat Board integrates Bhagavad Gita chapters into language textbooks for Classes 9-12.
The chapters are part of Gujarati, Hindi, English, and Urdu language textbooks.
The initiative aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Updated exam structures will include questions based on the new content.
Additional curriculum changes include natural farming in economics and AI in computer studies.
