AAP and NCP Prepare for Civic Polls
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is joining the upcoming city council elections in Bhiwandi, Navi Mumbai, and Thane.
They plan to run candidates in most seats.
The party wants to fix problems like bad roads, not enough doctors, water shortages, and cleanliness issues.
They also want to stop corruption.
The AAP hopes to bring good, honest leaders to these cities.
Meanwhile, the Ajit Pawar-led NCP is preparing to contest around 60 seats in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections.
The NCP will fight the elections on the ideology of Shiv–Shahu–Phule–Ambedkar.
The elections will happen on January 15, and we'll know the results the next day.
AAP announced its first-time participation in Bhiwandi and Navi Mumbai civic elections.
The party plans to field candidates in 30 seats in Bhiwandi and all 111 seats in Navi Mumbai.
AAP aims to address civic issues like poor roads, healthcare, water scarcity, and corruption.
The party will focus on transparent and public welfare-based governance, similar to its model in Delhi and Punjab.
Elections for 29 municipal corporations, including Thane, Bhiwandi, and Navi Mumbai, will be held on January 15.
