Mustafa Zahid To Record Tera Mera Rishta For Awarapan 2
A famous singer named Mustafa Zahid, who is from Pakistan, might sing a song for a new Indian movie called Awarapan 2.
The movie stars Emraan Hashmi, Shabana Azmi, and Disha Patani.
Mustafa Zahid had sung songs for the first Awarapan movie.
A newspaper report says the makers want him to record the song 'Tera Mera Rishta' again.
The song would only be used on social media, not inside the movie.
That is because using it in the film could cause problems when the movie gets its certificate to be shown in theaters.
Many Indian movie groups have not wanted Pakistani artists to work in Indian movies since the 2016 Uri attack.
The singer and the movie makers still have to agree before the recording can happen, which may take place in Dubai.
The movie is set to release on August 14, 2026.
Pakistani singer Mustafa Zahid is reportedly set to record a new version of 'Tera Mera Rishta' for the Emraan Hashmi-starrer Awarapan 2, per a Mid-day report.
The song would be used only for social media promotions, not in the film, to avoid trouble during certification, a source said.
Awarapan 2, starring Emraan Hashmi, Shabana Azmi, and Disha Patani, released its trailer on Thursday to a positive response.
The deal is awaiting approval from both parties, with the makers reportedly planning to record the song in Dubai.
A separate new version of 'Tera Mera Rishta', composed by Mithoon, Mustafa Zahid, and Pritam and sung by Saaj Bhatt and Subodhh Sharma, was also released on Thursday.

Opposing the Ban on Pakistani Artists
Opponents of the ban note the Bombay High Court dismissed a petition seeking a complete legal ban on Pakistani artists, and the reported Awarapan 2 deal would mark one of the rare instances in recent years of a Pakistani playback singer recording for a mainstream Hindi film.
Supporting the Boycott of Pakistani Artists
Supporters of the boycott point to the 2016 Uri attack, after which many Indian film bodies banned Pakistani artists from working in Indian movies, and note that recent films featuring Pakistani actors were not released in India.
