Assam Discusses AIMS-Model Institute for Barak Valley
The Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has mentioned that the government is starting to talk about building a big new hospital in the Barak Valley, similar to the one already in the Brahmaputra Valley.
They need a lot of land for this, and a local leader has offered some.
This is still in the early stages, but the idea is to make sure good healthcare is available everywhere in Assam.
The Chief Minister also talked about other important projects happening in the area, like a new big hospital in Silchar and a new airport.
He also gave money to women's groups to help them start businesses.
