Imax & Cinemark Partner on Upgrades for 'The Odyssey' Release
Imax and Cinemark are teaming up to make movie theaters better!
They're installing new equipment in many theaters to show movies in the best way possible.
This includes special Imax with Laser screens and also 70mm film projectors, which provide a super clear image.
These upgrades are in anticipation of big movies coming out in 2026, including Christopher Nolan’s new film, "The Odyssey", which will be the first movie ever filmed entirely using Imax film.
Imax's premium formats are becoming increasingly popular.
The upgrades show the commitment to making going to the movies an exciting experience.
Imax and Cinemark are collaborating on theater upgrades and new equipment installations.
The partnership covers 17 Cinemark locations across the U.S. and South America.
Upgrades include Imax with Laser systems and 70mm film projection capabilities.
New 70mm systems will be operational before the release of Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey'.
The move highlights the ongoing success of premium, large-format movie experiences.
