Hyderabad CMC Urges Rapid Completion of Storm Water Drainage Works
The city of Hyderabad is getting ready for the rainy season.
The boss of the city’s water‑drainage team told workers to finish fixing the drains quickly.
He and the police chief checked four important spots where water can get stuck.
They decided to build new pits and put metal covers on them.
They also plan to make a big pipe from a mall to a nearby area and think about moving power cables to help the work go smoothly.
CMC Commissioner ordered rapid completion of storm water drainage projects during monsoon.
Joint inspection with Cyberabad Commissioner of Police covered FDDI Box Drain, Malkam Cheruvu, COD Junction, and BATA Junction.
Orders included building rectangular duct catch pits at FDDI Box Drain and installing MS grills over catch pits at COD and BATA Junctions.
Remodelling of existing drain by constructing a box culvert from MK Eternal Mall to Bata Nala was ordered.
Feasibility of moving overhead electrical cables to Metro pillar supports along the Metro corridor was requested.
