Public Lecture on Education and Polarisation
A professor from Finland is giving a talk in Bengaluru about how schools can help kids deal with differences and feel like they belong.
She will talk about her research on how to make kids stronger and more connected in a world where people often disagree.
The talk is on February 2, 2026, in the evening at the Bangalore International Centre.
The professor has written many books and done lots of research on how kids learn and grow.
Azim Premji University is hosting a public lecture on February 2, 2026, titled 'Education in an Age of Polarisation: A Perspective on Cultivating Values, Resilience and Belonging in Childhood and Youth.'
The lecture will be delivered by Arniika Kuusisto, Professor of Early Childhood Education at the University of Helsinki, Finland.
The lecture will explore how educational practices can help children and young people engage with diversity, build resilience, and develop a sense of belonging.
Prof. Kuusisto is a leading scholar in education, worldviews, religion, and childhood studies, with over 180 scholarly publications.
