West Bengal Reports Major Progress in Ayushman Bharat Implementation

West Bengal said its Ayushman Bharat health program has reached a major milestone.

More than 3.23 crore people in the state reportedly have active health cards.

These cards can provide up to Rs 5 lakh for medical treatment.

The program has helped 31,541 people get admitted to hospitals.

Their treatment was cashless, so their families did not have to pay at the hospital.

The scheme also allowed 716 patients to receive care outside West Bengal.

This included migrant workers and people needing specialised treatment.

The chief minister said the program is helping make healthcare more affordable and easier to access.
