Navi Mumbai Announces Traffic Diversions For Anant Chaturdashi Processions
Navi Mumbai will change traffic routes on Friday, September 25.
The changes are being made because many Ganesh idols will be taken for immersion during Anant Chaturdashi.
Restrictions start at 10 am and will last until the processions finish.
In Kharghar, two important road stretches will be closed in both directions.
Drivers will need to use alternate roads through nearby sectors and junctions.
In Kalamboli, processions will follow two designated routes to Mhasar Lake.
Some vehicles, including police and essential-service vehicles, are exempt from the restrictions.
Police have asked people to plan ahead and follow the diversions.
Traffic restrictions in Navi Mumbai will begin at 10 am on September 25 and continue until immersion processions end.
In Kharghar, roads between D-Mart Signal and DAV International School, and between Kharghar Gaon Metro Station and Kamdhenu Complex, will close.
