Police Ban Weapons, Loud DJs, and Alcohol for Kanwar Yatra
Rajasthan Police made new rules for people going on a big religious trip called the Kanwar Yatra.
They said no one can bring weapons like tridents or hockey sticks, no alcohol or any kind of fire‑hazardous stuff, and no loud music that could upset people.
Pilgrims must use only the official roads, show a real ID, and stay away from the busy Delhi‑Dehradun Expressway.
Police officers will try to get to any trouble spot within 10 minutes, watch social media for fake news, and keep a close eye on the route from July 30 to August 11, 2026.
These rules help keep everyone safe and the roads clear.
Rajasthan Police banned weapons such as tridents, hockey sticks, and sharp objects for Kanwar Yatra pilgrims.
Alcohol, any intoxicants, LPG cylinders, and other inflammable items are strictly prohibited.
Loud DJs exceeding decibel limits, songs or slogans that could incite religious frenzy, and passenger transport in goods vehicles are forbidden.
Pilgrims must travel only on designated routes, carry valid ID, and avoid the Delhi–Dehradun Expressway and roofs of trains or vehicles.
Police will enforce 10‑minute response times, monitor social media for misinformation, and conduct anti‑sabotage checks with special vigilance from July 30 to August 11, 2026.
