Nagpur Police Launches AI Crowd Management System
The Nagpur Police have started using a new AI system called 'AI Nirikshak' to help manage crowds better.
This system uses cameras and smart technology to watch big groups of people and find any problems quickly.
It can spot if there are too many people in one place, see if someone has a weapon, or if there are bags left alone.
It can also recognize faces and track cars in special areas.
The system is powered by Microsoft and other smart tools.
The police hope this will make Nagpur safer and eventually use it all over Maharashtra.
Nagpur Police launched AI-powered crowd management system 'AI Nirikshak' ahead of Maharashtra Winter Assembly Session.
System integrates advanced computer vision, AI-video analytics, heat mapping, and real-time surveillance.
Key features include crowd density detection, risk flag alerts, object-based alerts, facial recognition, vehicle alerts, and crowd footfall measurement.
System is powered by Microsoft Azure, Click2Cloud’s AI Orchestration Engine, and integrated CCTV/digital surveillance networks.
Commissioner of Nagpur Police aims to make Maharashtra a national leader in AI-powered crowd management.
