MP Govt Introduces UCC Bill Amid Opposition Uproar
The Madhya Pradesh government introduced a new law called the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill in the state assembly.
This happened on the first day of a five-day meeting.
The Opposition party, Congress, wanted to talk about a different issue first.
They said the Chief Minister and his family bought a lot of land after he became the leader, which they think is not right.
The government said this issue is old and shouldn't be discussed right now.
The Congress members got upset and shouted, so the assembly had to take a short break.
The new law will be discussed the next day.
Madhya Pradesh government introduced the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) Bill, 2026 in the assembly.
Opposition Congress demanded an urgent debate on alleged land purchases by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and his family.
