Google and Accel Launch AI Fund for India
Google and Accel have teamed up to create a special fund called the Google AI Futures Fund.
This fund will help at least 10 Indian startups that are working on artificial intelligence (AI).
These startups can get up to $2 million in money and extra help from Google's advanced AI tools and experts.
The goal is to help these startups build products for both India and the world.
This is part of Google's bigger plan to invest $15 billion in India over five years, including setting up an AI data center.
The startups will work on things like making coding easier, improving work productivity, and creating new forms of entertainment.
Google and Accel have launched the Google AI Futures Fund to support Indian AI startups.
The fund will co-invest in at least 10 early-stage AI firms through the Atoms AI Cohort 2026 programme.
Selected startups can receive up to $2 million in joint funding and up to $350,000 in compute credits.
Startups will gain early access to Google's advanced AI models and mentorship from Accel and Google.
The focus areas include coding, workplace productivity, creativity, and entertainment.
