Rajamouli Recalls Fahadh Faasil’s Reach Ahead of Telugu Debut
SS Rajamouli talked about how he discovered Fahadh Faasil’s popularity.
At first, Rajamouli thought Fahadh’s movies were mostly watched by elite audiences.
He had watched several of Fahadh’s films on streaming platforms.
His opinion changed when a relative from a small town asked whether he had seen Fahadh’s movies.
The relative called the actor “Fafa.”
Rajamouli then understood that Fahadh was popular beyond Kerala and elite viewers.
This made him want to bring Fahadh into Telugu cinema.
Fahadh’s first Telugu film as a lead actor is Don’t Trouble The Trouble.
The film is directed by Shashank Yeleti and is scheduled for release on October 2, 2026.
SS Rajamouli said he initially believed Fahadh Faasil’s films mainly appealed to elite audiences.
His perception changed after a 55-year-old relative from a small town asked about Fahadh’s films.
Rajamouli said he then realized Fahadh was already known across Telugu-speaking areas.
Fahadh is making his Telugu lead-actor debut in Shashank Yeleti’s Don’t Trouble The Trouble.
