Sikkim High Court Quashes Wife’s Cruelty Case After Reconciliation

A woman had filed a case saying her husband had treated her cruelly.

The case began in 2022.

Later, the couple settled their differences and started living together again.

They had been living together for two years when the court considered the matter.

Their agreement said they had thought about what was best for their daughter.

The Sikkim High Court ended the criminal case.

The judge also asked the husband to behave in a way that supports a peaceful and respectful marriage.

The court quoted a Nepali saying that compares a husband-and-wife quarrel to a fire that burns brightly but does not last long.
