The winter session of the Maharashtra legislature started in Nagpur and will last one week.

The opposition parties, including Congress, Shiv Sena UBT, and NCP SP, boycotted the government's tea party because they are upset that the government has not appointed Leaders of Opposition (LoPs) in both houses.

The opposition also criticized the government for not keeping its promises, like helping farmers and creating jobs.

They mentioned problems like farmer suicides, crimes against women, and wild animal attacks.

The government says it has sent a proposal to help farmers to the central government and plans to pass some bills quickly during this session.

Even though there is political disagreement, the session brings a lot of business to Nagpur, with hotels and airlines charging higher prices.
