50-Bed Critical Care Block Inaugurated at Ongole Government Hospital
A new hospital building has opened in Ongole.
It is called a Critical Care Block.
The building has 50 beds for seriously ill patients.
It includes ICU, isolation and emergency beds.
The project cost Rs 23.75 crore.
It was built through the PM-Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission.
The facility should begin serving the public within two weeks.
The minister said it aims to give poor patients free emergency care similar to corporate hospitals.

It includes 18 ICU beds, 16 isolation ward beds and 10 emergency ward beds.
The block is expected to open for public use within two weeks.
Officials said the hospital currently treats more than 700 inpatients and nearly 1,600 outpatients daily.
