Delhi to Digitise All Property Records Under New Bill
Delhi is planning a big project to keep track of every house and shop in the city.
The government will use drones and cameras to take pictures of all the properties.
They will put this information into a computer system that is linked to a program called the Family Card, which helps the city give out help and health services.
The goal is to make it easier for people to get the help they need.
The Chief Minister, Rekha Gupta, said the whole city will be surveyed.
This will help the city run better and use technology to help everyone.
Delhi government plans to introduce the Delhi Land Records Bill 2026 to digitise all residential and commercial property records.
The bill will involve a comprehensive survey of properties across rural and urban areas using aerial and drone technology.
Digitised records will be linked to the Family Card initiative, creating a unified database of households.
The initiative aims to streamline welfare, healthcare, and other government services through a digital governance framework.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced the survey will cover the entire city.
