VP Advises New Forest Officers to Put Nation First

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan spoke to new forest officers in Dehradun.

These officers will help look after forests, animals, plants and other natural resources.

He told them that protecting nature and building the country can happen together.

They must carefully balance people’s needs with the needs of future generations.

He said officers should listen to communities that have lived near forests for many years.

He also said honesty and respect for the law are essential.

New tools such as satellites, maps, drones, artificial intelligence and data can help them do their work.

However, technology should be combined with experience and understanding of local people.

He asked the officers to put the nation first and judge their careers by the good they do for forests and communities.
