Delhi buildings install anti-smog guns ahead of deadline
In Delhi, India, many big buildings like offices, hotels, and hospitals have put in special machines called anti-smog guns to help clean the air.
The government said these buildings had to do this by November 29.
So far, 149 buildings have done it, but there are more that need to.
These machines spray water to stop smog, which is like a thick fog that makes the air dirty.
The government will check if all the buildings have done this and might punish those that didn't.
The machines have to stay on all year, except when it's raining a lot.
Smaller buildings and homes don't have to do this.
149 buildings in Delhi have installed anti-smog guns ahead of the November 29 deadline.
The mandate applies to commercial buildings of G+5 and above or with a built-up area exceeding 3,000 square metres.
Residential houses and housing societies are exempt from the mandate.
The Delhi Pollution Control Committee is monitoring the installation progress.
Anti-smog gun requirements vary based on the building's size, starting with three guns for buildings up to 10,000 square metres.
