Bengal's Temple-Mosque Political Duel Escalates
In Bengal, a plan has been announced to build a Ram Temple similar to the one in Ayodhya.
This temple will have a hospital, a school, and a home for elderly people.
The BJP leader, Sanjay Poyra, is leading this project and has asked people to donate money for it.
This comes after a mosque was recently built in another part of Bengal.
Both the BJP and the TMC are using these religious buildings to attract voters before the upcoming elections.
The Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee, has said that waqf properties will be protected, but the opposition claims that the government is not doing enough to safeguard these properties.
Posters in Salt Lake announce plans for an Ayodhya-style Ram Temple complex in Bidhannagar, Kolkata.
The temple will include a hospital, school, old-age home, and women's education facilities.
BJP leader Sanjay Poyra invites residents to contribute Re 1 each for the temple construction.
The foundation ceremony is planned for March 26, coinciding with Ram Navami.
This development follows the recent foundation laying of a Babri Masjid-styled mosque in Rejinagar, Murshidabad, by suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir.
