Mangaluru Blast Accused Seeks Guilty Plea

A man named Mohammed Shariq, who is part of a group linked to the Islamic State, is in trouble for a bomb explosion that happened in an autorickshaw in Mangaluru.

The bomb was supposed to go off near a temple, but it exploded too early and hurt Shariq and the driver.

Now, Shariq wants to say he is guilty in court to maybe get a shorter prison time.

Two of his friends already did this and got six years in jail.

Shariq was also in jail before for writing bad things on a wall.

The group he is part of is suspected of getting money from people outside India to make bombs.
