Delhi HC Refuses Urgent Hearing on CJP Protest Police Action
The Delhi High Court decided not to hear a case right away about police using too much force during a protest.
The protest was organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to ask for the Education Minister to step down because of problems with exams.
The CJP says the police hurt protesters and pushed around an activist's wife.
The police say they didn't do those things.
The court will hear the case on Wednesday.
The CJP also claims the police used pellet guns and slapped a 10-year-old boy, while the police say the protesters were violent and damaged property.
Delhi High Court refused to urgently hear a plea about police using excessive force during a CJP protest.
The protest was organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to demand the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
CJP alleges that Delhi Police used excessive force, injuring several students and pushing around activist Gitanjali J Angmo.
Delhi Police denies the allegations, calling reports of Angmo being assaulted false and misleading.
The court has scheduled the hearing for Wednesday.
