Meghalaya Launches AI Tools at Regional Conference

Meghalaya held a big meeting about artificial intelligence (AI) on December 3, 2023, in Shillong.

The meeting was called the Regional AI Impact Conference.

The main idea was to use AI to help people more.

They started new projects like the Drishti-NE Hackathon and the Bhashini Hackathon.

These projects will help people use their own languages to get important services like healthcare and education.

The Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma, said that Meghalaya is becoming a leader in technology.

He also said that using technology has helped the government make better decisions and improve things like healthcare.

For example, the number of mothers who die during childbirth has gone down by almost half because of using data and technology.

The government also uses technology to map important natural resources like rivers and forests.

Companies in Meghalaya are even making special AI tools for big companies around the world.

The Chief Minister wants to keep investing in new technologies to make Meghalaya even better.
