LTIMindtree Wins $330M AI Tax Analytics Contract
LTIMindtree, a big IT company, just got a huge contract worth $332 million from the Indian tax department.
They will use AI to make the country's tax system smarter and better.
This is a big deal for the company, and it's their second big project with the tax department in less than a year.
The company's boss, Venu Lambu, is happy because this is a lot of new work.
The company's stock price went up a bit after the news.
This is part of a trend where Indian IT companies are getting more business from their own country.
LTIMindtree won a ₹3,000 crore ($332 million) contract from the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to build an AI-powered tax analytics platform.
The seven-year contract is the third-largest for LTIMindtree in the past 12 months.
This is LTIMindtree's second engagement with the central tax body in less than a year, following a ₹792 crore ($87 million) mandate to transform India’s PAN infrastructure.
The deal is expected to contribute up to 3.3% incremental growth for LTIMindtree from recent deals alone.
LTIMindtree's shares rose 4.89% to ₹6,325 following the announcement.
