BCCI Reviews India’s Overseas Struggles After Ireland, England Defeats
India’s cricket team lost series in Ireland and England.
These results worried the Board of Control for Cricket in India.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the board needs to understand what went wrong.
He said the team may need better planning before playing in overseas countries.
Players have also been getting injured because they play many matches.
Saikia said the cricket calendar should provide more rest.
He also wants India to play practice matches before important overseas series.
The team is now preparing for the ODI World Cup next year.
India lost a T20I series 2-0 to Ireland and another 4-0 to England.
India also suffered a 2-1 ODI series defeat against England.
BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the team and board must undertake “some soul-searching.”
The BCCI is considering better scheduling, player rest and practice matches before major SENA tours.
