Indian Market Rebounds as Rupee Gains Amidst Oil Price Dip
The Indian stock market and the rupee had a positive day on Monday.
The rupee got stronger against the US dollar, while the Sensex and Nifty stock market indices both went up significantly.
This happened as a result of a few factors, including a decline in oil prices and an easing of inflation at the wholesale level.
However, exports decreased in May.
The market is also watching the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran, with traders waiting for the outcome.
Indian rupee gained 8 paise against the US dollar, closing at 86.03.
Sensex rose 677.55 points to 81,796.15, and Nifty gained 227.90 points to 24,946.50.
India's exports decreased by 2.17% in May, and imports declined by 1.7% in May.
Wholesale Price Inflation (WPI) fell to 0.39% in May, a decrease from 0.85% in April.
Brent crude oil prices dropped to $73.64 a barrel.
