Western Railway Approves 130 kmph Upgrade for 23 Train Services

Western Railway wants some trains from Mumbai to travel faster.

Their maximum allowed speed will rise from 110 kmph to 130 kmph.

The change affects 23 pairs of trains using LHB coaches.

Some passengers may reach their destinations 45 to 60 minutes earlier.

However, the trains will not travel at 130 kmph for the entire trip.

Tracks, signals, station stops and safety restrictions can slow them down.

The exact new travel times will be announced in a revised timetable.

The Ahmedabad–Patna Express will also be allowed to run faster and will get two additional coaches.
