India Forces X to Block Obscene Grok Content

India has taken strong action against the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) for allowing its AI chatbot, Grok, to create and share inappropriate content.

The government found that people were using Grok to make sexually explicit images, which is against the law.

X has now blocked around 3,500 posts and deleted more than 600 accounts that were involved in this.

The Indian government has also warned X that it must follow the country's laws and protect people's rights.

If X does not comply, it could lose its legal protection in India.

Other countries like Indonesia, the UK, France, and Malaysia have also raised concerns about Grok's content.

The government has made it clear that AI systems like Grok are not just tools but content creators and must be held accountable for what they produce.
