Sealdah Station Implements Traffic Regulation to Manage Crowd
Imagine Sealdah Station is getting a makeover to help people get around easier!
Because more people are using the trains, the station is changing how cars, taxis, and rickshaws move around the station.
There will be separate lanes for different types of vehicles: rickshaws and taxis in one lane, private cars and online taxis in another.
Emergency vehicles and VIPs will have their own lane.
The goal is to make it easier for people to get picked up or dropped off without causing traffic jams.
The station will study how the new system works and make permanent changes later.
Sealdah Division is implementing a traffic regulation plan.
The plan aims to manage increased passenger numbers.
The circulating area around the canopy is being organized.
Different lanes are designated for autos, taxis, private vehicles, and emergency use.
Temporary lane markings are being installed initially, followed by permanent ones after a study.
