Indian Stocks Rise as Oil Cools, NSE IPO Attracts Bids

Indian Stocks Rise as Oil Cools, NSE IPO Attracts Bids

Indian share prices went up on Monday.

The Sensex gained 564 points, while the Nifty rose for the fourth day in a row.

Investors felt better because oil prices became cheaper and money came into Indian markets from foreign investors.

Stock markets in other countries also showed a positive trend.

Cheaper oil may help India’s import costs, inflation and company profits.

UltraTech Cement was one of the biggest winners.

Some companies, including Bharti Airtel and Infosys, lost value.

The market was still careful because geopolitical uncertainty continued.

The National Stock Exchange of India’s large share sale was almost six times oversubscribed.

This means investors asked to buy nearly six times more shares than were available.
