Trump Rejects AI Slowdown Calls as Leaders Warn of Risks

Some technology leaders are worried that artificial intelligence is becoming powerful too quickly.

Dario Amodei, the head of Anthropic, said safety protections need more time to catch up.

He warned that advanced AI systems might act in harmful ways if they are not controlled.

Amodei said a group of AI agents could possibly cause enormous damage or take over much of the internet within 6-12 months.

Sam Altman agreed that AI development should be slowed enough for safety checks to improve.

Elon Musk also said Amodei was right.

Donald Trump disagreed and called people raising these concerns negative forces.

Other experts, including Geoffrey Hinton, have warned that AI could pose a serious threat to humanity.

The disagreement is about whether AI development should continue quickly or proceed more cautiously.
