Buddha Relics Return to India After 127 Years
India got back ancient jewels linked to Buddha after over a century.
These jewels, like bone fragments and ornaments, were found in India long ago.
They were going to be sold in Hong Kong.
The government worked with others to get them back.
The relics are very important to Buddhists and show India's rich history.
Some of the jewels will be shown at the National Museum, and will be displayed for the public.
Piprahwa jewels, connected to Buddha, returned to India after 127 years.
British archaeologist William Claxton Peppe discovered the jewels in 1898.
The jewels include bone fragments, caskets, and ornaments.
The Indian government, with industrialist Pirojsha Godrej, secured the relics' return.
