Hindalco's Project Shakti Empowers Odisha Women

Hindalco Industries, a company from the Aditya Birla Group, is helping women in Odisha become entrepreneurs through a project called Project Shakti.

This project teaches women new skills, helps them get the right licenses, and connects them with markets so they can start their own businesses.

So far, 55 women have been directly helped, and the project aims to reach 5,000 women in the future.

One successful example is a women-run catering service called Om Shanti Delight, which started small and is now a licensed business.

The project is also helping to revive traditional tribal art by training women and providing them with the materials they need.

The local government has praised the project and promised to support it.

The Aditya Birla Group is committed to giving back to society and has reached out to over 500,000 people in Odisha.
