SC to Hear Plea on Urs at Gwalior Dargah
Imagine a historical site, like an old tomb, that's very important.
Some people want to have a religious gathering called Urs there.
But, the government says it's a protected monument and the activities might damage it.
The people asked if they could still hold the Urs, but were denied.
They took the case to the Supreme Court, asking them to decide whether the religious gathering should be allowed.
The court will hear the case and consider all the arguments.
The Supreme Court will hear a plea about performing Urs at the Hazrat Sheikh Muhammad Ghaus dargah in Gwalior.
The ASI declared the dargah a protected monument in 1962.
The petitioner challenged a High Court order that denied permission for religious activities at the dargah.
The High Court noted the importance of protecting the monument.
