Nearly 97 Lakh More Women Use Free Telangana Bus Travel
More people travelled on Telangana's government buses during the reported three-month period.
The bus corporation said 97.20 lakh more women used free travel than in the same period the year before.
The free rides are part of the Mahalakshmi scheme.
Overall passenger numbers also increased, from 3,467.91 lakh to 3,565.11 lakh.
To handle the demand, the corporation added buses and trips on busy routes.
Its managing director said the changes helped provide a comfortable and safe journey.
