Eastern Railway Cancels Trains for Bridge Repair Work
The Eastern Railway is going to stop about 80 local trains this weekend.
This is happening because they need to fix two bridges, number 3 and 27, in the Sealdah-Dum Dum Junction area.
To do this work, they will shut down the power and block the train tracks for 10 hours, starting late Saturday night.
Because of this, trains on several routes like Sealdah to Naihati and Sealdah to Ranaghat will not be running.
This is so the railway can make the bridges stronger and safer.
Eastern Railway will cancel about 80 local trains.
Cancellations are due to bridge repair work.
Work involves regirdering bridges no. 3 and 27.
The Sealdah division will have a 10-hour traffic and power block.
