Election Rigging Allegations in Punjab
The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) say the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) cheated in the Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections.
They claim AAP used weapons, hurt workers, and changed votes.
SAD wants a judge to investigate and remove the State Election Commission (SEC).
They say the SEC helped AAP and didn't stop the cheating.
PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring has asked the court to make sure the vote counting is recorded on video to prevent cheating.
They say this will make the process fair and stop people from lying in court.
The elections had a turnout of 48%, and there were many places where bad things happened, like Qazikot and Majitha.
SAD and Congress will talk to the Governor and fight in court to fix this.
SAD and Congress accuse AAP of rigging Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections with SEC and Punjab Police collusion.
SAD demands a judicial probe into the SEC and its immediate removal.
SAD leaders claim AAP used arms, weapons, and attacked opposition workers in multiple locations.
Allegations include advance distribution of ballot papers, deletion of votes, and destruction of nomination papers.
PPCC president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring files a PIL demanding compulsory videography of the entire counting process to enhance accountability and deter malpractices.
