Gauff Saves Two Match Points, Reaches US Open Semifinals

Coco Gauff played Mirra Andreeva in a US Open quarter-final.

Andreeva won the first set by playing very strongly.

Gauff then took a break and tried to reset her game.

In the second set, Gauff was close to winning but made three double faults.

Andreeva then had two chances to win the match.

Gauff saved both chances and won the set in a tie-break.

She played better in the final set and won the match 2-6, 7-6(7), 6-2.

Gauff will next play Elena Rybakina in the semi-finals.
